Image Display Control

Image Display Control

Image Display Control:
  1. Channel 0 and/or Channel 1select the channels for viewing and acquisition.
  2. Percentiles or Photon Counts: select one contrast method and set the corresponding threshold for viewing, in which the contrast for each channel is adjusted individually in real-time (Percentiles) or fixed (Photon Counts). The left column is for channel 0 and the right column is for channel 1. The Percentiles metric is similar to auto-contrast and therefore does not indicate the intensity relationship between the two channels. For example, the two channels can have the same visual looking but with completely different intensities, and therefore photobleaching of the sample is also not indicated. Interactive software for exploring the difference between the two methods can be downloaded here.
  3. Split Channels or Color Overlay: select one display method for viewing, in which the channels are displayed individually (Split Channels) or are merged into a single field of view (Color Overlay). In some systems, there is another display method (Raw Images), in which the full camera chip is displayed instead of the two cropped channels.
  4. Display Localization during Acquisition: show an axis-aligned bounding box around each localization during acquisition.
  5. Link/Unlink Channels: link/unlink the channels for setting thresholds .
